Nai Manzil Scheme OBJECTIVES

The aim of the scheme is to provide education and market-driven skill training to the youth of the minority community, below the poverty line (BPL) between the ages of 17-35 years. This scheme provides non-residential integrated education and skill training for 9 to 12 months, of which minimum 3 months are dedicated to skill training. The purpose of this scheme is to provide placement to at least 70% of trained youth in jobs which will earn them the basic minimum wages and provide them with other social security rights such as provident fund, employee state insurance (ESI) etc.

Beneficiaries eligibility

  • About one lakh beneficiary plans will be covered.
  • The trainee should be related to six notified minority communities.
  • Other minorities notified by the States / UTs are eligible for up to 5% of the total seats.
  • Trainee should be between 17-35 years of age
  • Minimum qualification of trainee should be in accordance with NIOS / equivalent for class VIII and Class X program
  • Trainees should be related to the poverty line (BPL) population below both urban and rural areas.
  • 30% of beneficiary seats have been fixed for girl / female candidates

Nai Manzil SCHEME COMPONENTS

Education component: The objective of the education component of the new floor plan is to integrate the deprived minority youth who were excluded from the formal schooling to help get certification from the National Open Schooling Institute (NIOS) or any State Open School. Was there. Under the new floor, candidates are offered either OBE level 'C' (equivalent to class VIII) or 'Secondary level examination program' (equivalent to Tenth grade) on the basis of their merit.

Skills Training Components: Provides skill training according to the new floor national skills qualification framework (NSQF). The skill training program is of a minimum of 3 months and includes soft skills training, basic IT training and basic English training. This plan focuses on those skill courses that are aligned at NSQF level 3 or above, so that students can get better employment in the labor market. Training on health and life skills is also provided to the beneficiaries.

Position of candidates: Successful candidates are kept in regular employment in the field in which they have been trained. Employment in the formal sector is desirable, however, if this is not possible, then it is ensured that the job covers the minimum desired standards and norms.

Post placement support: Considering the important labor churn after the training, the new floor provides post placement support for at least 3 months. Students are monitored and supported for a year after the placement. If any student exits from the labor market during that time, then the PIA will be responsible for finding another job for him. Post placement support includes regular consultation to support candidates in their workplace and to help them settle in their new job / business.

Nai Manzil SCHEME monitoring and evaluation

MIA Portal: An MIS portal is available to allow online applications by candidates wishing to avail benefit under this scheme, and by such candidates who want to register such candidates as beneficiaries.

CCTV Recording: CCTV recording of training programs is required to be maintained by PIA for record purpose and cross-checking. GIS tagging of bio-metric attendance (base-based) and centers is also to be done by PIA.

Monitoring: Project Management Unit (PMU) conducts comprehensive monitoring and evaluation for the scheme, including project evaluation, annual benchmarking survey etc.
